Sheffield Wednesday certainly gave a good account of themselves last night in the FA Cup fifth round as they eventually went down 1-0 to Manchester City at Hillsborough.
It was always going to be a tough occasion.
Pep Guardiola has the luxury of being able to name two XIs that would beat most sides and the team he named last night was typically strong with the likes of Sergio Aguero and David Silva on the field.
Indeed, Wednesday fans, with their home record in the league needing work, could have been forgiven for thinking it’d be a long night but, instead, the hosts performed admirably against the reigning kings of England.
Amongst the Owls’ team, too, the likes of youngster Alex Hunt impressed and some have called for him to play more after an impressive display.
