The Villains can still secure an automatic promotion place if results go their way, after already confirming a spot in the play-offs with victory over Leeds United last time out. Indeed, Villa looked impressive in their 1-0 victory over Paul Heckingbottom’s side at Villa Park, but there’s still improvements to be had as the game was never put to bed.
Although, Aston Villa will travel to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town later on today, with three points going a long way towards promotion to the Premier League. But, a number of changes will be expected as they head into a must-win game against a tough side, with a couple of players possibly dropping to the bench after their most recent performance.

Mile Jedinak
Mile Jedinak was deployed as a central defender last time out against Leeds United after losing John Terry to injury, but it was clear that this was an unusual position for the Australian as the game went on.
Indeed, the 33-year-old made a few mistakes and looked sloppy in possession as the Whites’ attackers got in behind on a few occasions, with many of our local residents wanting to see him out of the side later on today.
Nevertheless, Steve Bruce should look to drop the experienced midfielder from his side for today’s match against Ipswich, as a natural central defender should be drafted into the starting lineup to take his place.
Jonathan Kodjia
Interestingly, Jonathan Kodjia has failed to live up to expectations since returning from injury not so long ago, as he struggled to assert his dominance on proceedings against Leeds United.
So, perhaps Bruce should slowly ease the striker back into action as there’re plenty of attackers waiting in the wings, with many of our local residents wanting to see the 28-year-old brought on as an impact substitute.
Therefore, Aston Villa absolutely cannot play Kodjia later on today against Ipswich Town, as Scott Hogan should be brought into the side to rediscover his goalscoring touch ahead of the play-offs.
