The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are in a bitter sweet moment following the recent events in the transfer market.

Whilst losing a player of Romelu Lukaku’s calibre is a major blow, it would have been softened by the homecoming of Wayne Rooney who completed the move of fairytales with his return to Goodison Park. Alongside Rooney, there has been some major action from the Toffees in the transfer market which has excited their fans in the Tavern.

However, our landlord doesn’t believe that this should be the end of business from Everton and he believes their are especially some players that really need to be axed by Ronald Koeman and one or two signings need to be made in order to push the Toffees into a top four place.

This has sparked up a big debate among the Everton fans in the Tavern. Many can’t believe that there is a feeling that more signings need to be made but many others feel that Koeman needs to twist and make a squad that will really push for the Champions League and beyond.

AXE: Ross Barkley

With Barkley stalling over the signing of a new contract, our landlord believes that he will surely be on his way out of Goodison Park this summer.

With many clubs monitoring Barkley’s situation, it would not be hard for Koeman to axe the player who really has not lived up to his potential over the last few seasons.

SIGN: Gylfi Sigurdsson

The Swansea man really would be the finishing piece to Ronald Koeman’s puzzle and our landlord believes the Toffees should do whatever it takes to bring him to Goodison Park.

Sigurdsson was vital in keeping Swansea up last season and whilst Paul Clement won’t want to sell his prize asset, a big enough bid will surely prize him away from the Liberty Stadium.
