Several of their ardent supporters have gathered here in the Tavern for a boozy Easter session at the landlord’s disco night and they are talking about potential improvements to the squad for the summer.

With Champions League football likely to be back on the agenda the club must ensure that they are well stocked up in each position, including the middle of the park.

Our landlord overheard this conversation with some intrigue and he looked at two industrious midfielders who should be signed by Italian boss Conte this summer.

Geoffrey Kondogbia

The man mountain of a defensive midfielder could depart from Inter Milan during the summer and he would represent a shrewd piece of summer business by Chelsea.

The 24-year-old would certainly be an upgrade on Nemanja Matic and one Chelsea fan here in the Tavern believes that the Frenchman possesses all the attributes to become a real star at Stamford Bridge.

Radja Nainggolan

The Belgian midfielder has been in fine fettle for Roma during the current campaign and he could be the subject of some pretty big bids during the summer.

One Chelsea fan is sat with a pint of cider this evening and he thinks Nainggolan’s experience of playing in another European league can help the Blues in the Champions League next season.
