Many Southampton fans have been hailing a Premier League stat that was revealed by Tom Murray on his Twitter page.
Going into the last game for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team in 2020, the St. Mary’s faithful have accumulated the fifth highest number of points in the Premier League all year long (55 points from 33 games).
Can Southampton finish in the top 6?
That stat is only bettered by current reigning champions and league leaders Liverpool (76), Manchester City (66), Manchester United (62) and Chelsea (56).
The Saints could even move up to fourth spot in that mini league table if they were to beat West Ham United at home and Chelsea were to draw or lose at Stamford Bridge to Aston Villa.
It has been quite a remarkable turnaround since their 9-0 home embarrassment to Leicester City, and the faith that has been shown in Hasenhuttl ever since has really paid off.

“Brilliant year for us”
“This is incredible! What a job RH has done”
