£7.2m-valued Romeu (Transfermarkt) started the match against the Whites as the Saints lost 3-0. However, after 70 minutes, he was forced off and was replaced by Moussa Djenepo. Speaking ahead of Southampton’s match against Everton, Hasenhuttl revealed Romeu has fractured his ankle and will need surgery. He will miss a minimum of three months as a result, and will therefore be unavailable for the rest of the campaign.
