Legendary midfielder Zinedine Zidane, who is now a sporting director at Real, followed Hazard’s development at Lille before he signed for the Blues last summer in a £32 million switch.

Now Zidane wants to take him to the Bernabeu with thoughts that the Belgian international could be interested in a switch to the La Liga giants.

Madrid are so keen to land Hazard they would reportedly be willing to let Angel Di Maria join Chelsea in a cash-plus-player swap deal.

Liverpool star Luis Suarez and Hazard’s Chelsea team-mate Ramires are also understood to be on Madrid’s wishlist. However, it appears Carlo Ancelotti is widening his search for attacking options.
