While the international break these days has the punters in the Transfer Tavern kicking their heels and praying for a Premier League return, they have been able to watch some of their favourite stars in action for their country.
Last night saw a host of English-based players go head-to-head as Belgium traveled to Amsterdam to take on the Netherlands in a game that finished 1-1.
Though there wasn’t an awful lot to shout about during the game, one of the major stories to come out of the fixture was the fact Spurs striker Vincent Janssen suffered a 20-minute memory loss following a clash with Liverpool ‘keeper Simon Mignolet.
Early on in the first-half, the 22-year-old was taken off for the Oranje after a brutal clash with the former Sunderland custodian left him slightly concussed.
Now, Mignolet has taken to Twitter to wish his Premier League counterpart a speedy recovery and stress he would never intentionally hurt his opponents.
Wishing @vincentjanssen well after our collision. Would never intentionally hurt a fellow player, but sometimes accidents happen. #FeelBetter
