Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been comically responding to comments from their powerful number 9, Romelu Lukaku, where the Belgian claimed that his manager knows he has a “soldier mentality.”
Lukaku signed for Jose Mourinho’s United side for a huge fee back in the summer after previously impressing at Everton and West Brom in the Premier League. This season though, Lukaku has come under pressure for his failure to deliver in big games and his goal against former club, Chelsea, was his first against any of the Premier League’s top six sides this season.
The Red Devils propping up our bar will be hoping Lukaku can kick on and further prove that he’s worth the obscene fee that the club forked out to bring him to Old Trafford, as they look to advance past Sevilla in the Champions League and cement their place in the Premier League’s top four.
Here’s our resident United fans’ hilarious verdict:
No soldiers are brave and dont disappear when the other army gets stronger.

I loved lukaku but he definitely doesn't have a "soldiers mentality" he has the mentality of a spoilt little boy, in the body of a tank.
