One of our regulars is chuckling to himself in the corner of the Football Transfer Tavern, and is ready to share the joke.

Some wise guy has decided to draw the way he thinks a host of football stars would fare on first dates.

The likes of Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil and Abou Diaby, Manchester United’s Phil Jones, Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, Chelsea pair Fernando Torres and John Terry and even Sir Alex Ferguson make the cut.

Some fare better than others – like John Terry for example.

Whereas some struggle – like Phil Jones, who can’t get his food into his ridiculous mouth.

And of course Sir Alex wouldn’t be turning up to any date without his bit on the side – Howard Webb!

But my personal favourite has to go to poor old Fernando Torres. The poor guy can’t even feed himself these days it seems!
