At the start of every shift at the Football Transfer Tavern, I never know what conversation I’m going to be entering into when I step behind the bar.

Today, the customers were chatting about which person involved in football, past or present, would they love to ask one question to.

As you’d expect, the likes of Pele, Bobby Moore and David Beckham cropped up.

There were a few random calls, with one punter suggesting he’d love to ask Mark Lawrenson how to grow the perfect moustache?

The most common call was for a few fleeting moments with former Manchester United gaffer Sir Alex Ferguson.

One punter would ask: “What was your greatest managerial achievement?”

Another said he’d take the opportunity to see who Fergie thought was his worst signing?

One regular, a ginger Scottish bloke, through a flood of tears said he’d ask: “How did you do it? Will you return to the Red Devils? Please.”

Anyone know who that bloke is?
