Blackburn Rovers captain, Chris Samba could be on his way to the capital for the start of the new season as Arsenal and Spurs show there interest in the £10million man.
Arsenal have been hot on the heels of the Centre back for a while now and look set to shrug off their arch rivals and finally sign the Congo International to add vital experience that has long been awaited for Wengers back four.
You can be sure if the red and white side let this one slip through the net, then Harry Redknapp will be there to pick up the pieces and add some consistency to the centre half position at the Lane.
At the age of 27 and after having a fantastic season at Eawood (despite Rovers position) Samba is certain to be on the move, and was very close to leaving for the Emirates in January. Fortunate for Blackburn the deal failed to make way, and without his presence on the pitch since the turn of the new year they could well have been dumped out of the top flight a while back.
He is consistent, a leader and in this climate a bargain… I’m sure there aren’t many Arsenal fans who wouldn’t welcome his assistance…
