Spurs could launch surprise £12.5m move on Premier League giants

A spirited performance in yesterday’s North London Derby has had the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern in a good mood again at long, long last.

Despite remaining unbeaten domestically, those on Hotspur Way have been in dampened moods of late after seeing their side draw time and time again.

While yesterday’s clash at the Emirates ended in the same result, the performance was much improved and the Spurs fans propping up the bar feel slighted not to have won.

So, according to the Daily Mirror, news that Mauricio Pochettino is plotting a surprise raid on a former favourite of his has come as music to their ears.

The Argentine coach is reportedly plotting a move for Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, having worked with the Frenchman at Southampton.

He’s struggled for game time since moving to Old Trafford and Spurs are thought to have had an August bid snubbed.

Still, the report claims Jose Mourinho is keen to cut his squad numbers down and that a bid of around HALF the £25m they initially shelled out for the Les Blues international could be enough.

London rivals Crystal Palace are also believed to be keen on the midfielder, with Alan Pardew also having worked with him at St. Mary’s.

Has the Frenchman really been given a fair crack of the whip at United? Let us know below…
