The Spaniard has never been one to stick around when he isn’t getting any game time – and his long-term Blues future is looking less secure by the minute.
This could, in theory, be a boost to the Man City fans in the Tavern – with The Sun on Sunday suggesting that Pep Guardiola could be tempted by a move for the out-of-favour midfielder.
They are reporting that a £20m bid could be made by the ex-Barcelona boss, with the 45-year-old reportedly fearful that his side are lacking midfield creativity.
The two know each other well, of course, given that they shared a spell at Barcelona together.
During a 3 year tenure with the Catalan giants, whilst never a regular starter, Fabregas picked up nearly 100 league appearances before he moved back to London with Chelsea.
