‘Start him’, ‘Drop Cahill’ – Chelsea fans are full of praise for teenager after club Twitter post

For the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, nothing is more important than youth development. Chelsea have a poor reputation for building young players, but the rise of Andreas Christensen – in particular – has given supporters renewed hope.

Another player that is certainly creating a lot of excitement is Ethan Ampadu. The Welshman has been given a few chances this season, and he has impressed every time, and so most of the fans in the Transfer Tavern are confident that he will make it at Stamford Bridge.

That sentiment has only grown now, too, after Chelsea were offered fans a rare glimpse at what he gets up to in training over on their side’s official Twitter page. The Blues posted a Tweet earlier today showcasing his ability to shoot from distance, which can be seen below.

It was quite the strike, and it’s sure to get fans even more excited about his potential.

Unsurprisingly, supporters have responded to the video with delight, and it’s fair to say that most are now expecting big things. A fair few fans are even demanding that he plays for the Blues against Watford on Monday, with one noting that Gary Cahill should be the player to make way for the versatile teenager.
