The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for their side to beat Man Utd this weekend. It’s expected to be a game full of drama and fireworks, owing to the storied history between the two clubs.
For Liverpool, a win will help cement them closer to the top of the Premier League table, whilst for Jose Mourinho’s Man Utd, they need to prove that they can perform against the bigger sides in the English top flight.
There’s certainly a lot riding on the game, and so there will be a lot of pressure on the respective managers – particularly when it comes to their team selection. For Jurgen Klopp, there are a few individuals that he will have to make big decisions on.
One such player is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. He didn’t start against Porto earlier in the week, and whilst his form has been great over the last month or two, he’s yet to properly cement himself as a starter each and every week.
However, it appears as though if the Liverpool fans had their chance to pick the team, the Ox would certainly be involved. Indeed, Liverpool recently posted on their official Twitter page footage of the Englishman in action against Newcastle, and it’s fair to say that fans are expecting an equally solid performance this weekend.

Of course, he was fantastic against the Magpies, and if recent form is anything to go by, you would expect more of the same on Saturday.

When Ox is in full flow and full of confidence, he's just absolutely fantastic to watch and works perfectly in Klopp's system. I hope he gets a start on Saturday to hopefully expose Utd's lack of legs in that midfield. We need someone to drive from midfield to link up the front 3
