The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been urging the club to sign Chelsea’s Brazilian winger, Kenedy after a story in The Chronicle claims that the Blues would prefer to sell the winger. The news comes as Chelsea are preparing to draw up a transfer budget for the summer as they look to sort out their managerial issues.
Chelsea want to sell Kenedy but it would require a record transfer bid from #NUFC https://t.co/kVK62UN99F

The young Brazilian spent the second half of this season on-loan at St James Park and was a huge hit with the fans. The young live-wire scored twice and got two assists in his short spell with the club, although his energy up and down the pitch and ability to create chances from out wide made him a fan favourite very quickly in the North East. The fans previously thought he was unattainable although now they’ll be delighted with the news that he’s up for sale.
Chelsea are supposedly looking at selling a number of their fringe players and the young Kenedy, who they value at around £20 million, is one of the club’s most-saleable assets. The fee they’re after though would mean Newcastle have to smash their record transfer fee though and whether Mike Ashley is prepared to dig that deep into his pocket is another question. The fans have no doubt that Kenedy is the man they need though and they’ll be praying that they finally end up with their man.

What about 10 million, sport’s direct gift card for a tenner and a box of donnay socks @ChelseaFC , let the negotiations begin.

He is worth 20m easily. We’ve tended to bring our marquee signings relatively early in the window under Rafa (Ritchie, Lejeune) and Kenedy would be just that.

Kenedy would be a great signing for the club. The Brazilian would need no time to settle in at the club having played at St James Park this season and the fans already know what they’re getting, the only stumbling block is Ashley’s imminent reluctance to pay the £20 million sum.
