Manchester City still have work to do if they’re to secure Champions League football next season and Pep Guardiola is under pressure from supporters here inside the Tavern to deliver just that!
The former Barcelona chief has had a tough first season in England that has seen City fall way off the pace in the race for the title, with securing Champions League football now the main objective for this campaign.
But with attention now turning to the summer and potential in-comings, there’s plenty of talk here in the pub as to who Pep should bring in over the next couple of months.
And it seems that the theme of fresh young talent is hot on the minds of plenty of supporters here in the Tavern and we think there are some cracking young talents out there that City should be targeting this summer.
So with that in mind, here’s the three players City should definitely send scouts to watch as soon as possible…
Christian Pulisic

18-year-old Borussia Dortmund forward Christian Pulisic is already well-known on the international platform having made his breakthrough last season and he’s really shone for the German’s first-team this season.
He’s already a full international for the United States and continues to impress and he’s certainly the sort of player City should be targeting this summer.
He’s young, has fantastic potential and would really thrive under the guidance of Pep Guardiola. He’s one that has the Citizens supporters here in the pub seriously excited indeed.
Christopher Nkunku
19-year-old PSG midfielder Christopher Nkunku is already drawing comparisons to the likes of Blaise Matuidi and he’s really only been in the first-team for the Parisians for two seasons.
A combative, tough central midfielder, some City fans here in the pub think he’d be the cracking replacement for Yaya Toure when the Ivorian does eventually move on in a couple of years time.
Keep an eye on this young man.
Franck Kessie
We’ve already spoken about a potential replacement for Yaya Toure to come in to City in the summer and this man could also be someone who fits that particular bill.
The Atalanata midfielder has been superb this season in the middle of the park and strides about the pitch as if he owns it. He can score and create as well as get back and defend and so would be a very good option for City to take a closer look at.
