Sunderland fans have been reacting to the news that Danny Graham remains an injury worry due to a knee problem.
Graham made the move to the Stadium of Light from Blackburn last summer for what it is his second spell on Wearside. However, it is fair to say that his time in the north-east has not gone too well. He has scored just once in 17 games in all competitions, none of which have come in the league (Transfermarkt).
He is currently dealing with a knee injury, it seems, which Sunderland manager Lee Johnson has admitted remains a concern (Chronicle Live, James Hunter). Graham does not appear to be a particularly popular figure amongst the club’s supporters, though, and it seems that they are not too eager for him to recover quickly.
Should Danny Graham leave the club?
The fans have been reacting to the news, which was shared by Sunderland reporter James Hunter on Twitter, and they took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about the Graham news below
“Graham definitely isn’t a concern if you haven’t clocked on by now James”
“A bit like his scan, nothing shows up when Graham is on the pitch”
“Graham potentially up there for a place in the worst signings in SAFC history. And he’s had two attempts now.”
“I can confirm, on behalf of the whole of Wearside, that Danny Graham’s knee was never a concern. #SAFC”
“Why is Graham’s knee a concern? If it’s keeping him away from the football pitch we should be thanking god for the injury.”
“Graham’s knee, other knee, left foot, right foot and head a concern. Early scans suggest no heart.”
In other news, Sunderland fans want this man to leave the club.
