Sunderland fans are far from happy after Lee Johnson revealed striker Ross Stewart slipped in training and has suffered an injury setback.
After scoring six goals in 24 games for Ross County in the first half of this campaign (Transfermarkt), Stewart moved to the Stadium of Light during the January transfer window. However, he is yet to make his debut for the club due to injury, and it now seems the Black Cats supporters will have to wait a while longer before seeing him in action.
Ahead of Sunderland’s clash with Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, manager Lee Johnson revealed that Stewart has suffered an issue in training and will therefore need a scan.
Will Ross Stewart be a success at Sunderland?
The news was shared on Twitter by reporter James Hunter, and it is fair to say that it did not go down well with the Sunderland supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about the comments from Johnson below
