Lots of Sunderland have been reacting to the update regarding the Black Cats’ takeover bid from Kyril Louis-Dreyfus.

Stewart Donald’s two-and-a-half-year tenure looks to be coming to an end after Roker Report suggested that the takeover could be completed in a “matter of days”.

The report added that Louis-Dreyfus could become the club’s majority shareholder as early as “next week” as he is currently going through the EFL’s ‘owners and directors test’, to see whether he passes the eligibility criteria to take over the North-East outfit.

This comes after months of intense scrutiny that Donald has received, following the sacking of Jack Ross and the hiring of manager Phil Parkinson, which led to him deactivating his Twitter account following personal threats (via Chronicle Live).
