Tony Coton and Richard Hill have left Sunderland following Stewart Donald’s decision to quit his role as chairman.
With the 2019/2020 season ending in disappointment for Sunderland, much criticised owner Donald has followed up his decision to sell the club by leaving his role as chairman.
The former Eastleigh FC owner, who had a net worth of £8.4m in 2018, has been actively trying to sell the club, prompting interest from the likes of Chinese businessman Sammy Yu and Mark Campbell to become interested.
With the pressure starting to mount on everyone involved with the Black Cats, it has now been confirmed that both Coton and Hill have quit their roles at the club.

Both Coton and Hill arrived at the Stadium of Light in 2018 with the former taking up a role in scouting and player recruitment whilst Hill was involved in negotiating player contracts.
With Donald keen to sell the club, it will be interesting to see if replacements for Coton and Hill arrive at the club, whilst the Wearsiders are yet to find a replacement for Paul Reid, who left his role as academy manager last month.

It seems like a number of big changes are set for this summer but trying to convince people to come in and be part of the club may be easier said than done.
With no movement being made on the potential sale of the club, it leaves many question marks ahead of next season.
