Leeds United fans here in the Tavern are feeling extremely underwhelmed, as their side are struggling to grind out positive results with very little time left in the current campaign.
Indeed, the Whites have had a season to forget as they have nothing to play for from here on in, as many of our local residents are hoping that the summer transfer window will hold the key to success. And, with Paul Heckingbottom’s future looking less than certain, supporters could see a new-look Leeds United side tackle next season’s challenges.
Although, the Whites travel to Villa Park to face promotion chasers Aston Villa tonight, as they’ll be looking to halt the Villains’ progress with an accomplished performance in front of the travelling supporters. But, Steve Bruce’s side will be full of confidence after defeating Cardiff City last time out, with momentum firmly behind Villa as tonight’s game approaches.

Jay-Roy Grot
Jay-Roy Grot has struggled to come to terms with English football so far this season after joining in the summer months, as he’s only managed to feature in 20 games all season with just one goal to his name.
Sadly, many of our local residents feel that he’s not good enough to be at the club after a disappointing campaign, with huge improvements needed if he is to have a future at Elland Road.
Therefore, Paul Heckingbottom should gift the Dutchman his second start in as many games, as Aston Villa have struggled against big, fast-paced players so far this season.
Vurnon Anita
The former Newcastle United midfielder has lost his way in the current campaign after being converted into a left-back, as January signing Laurens De Bock and Gaetano Berardi remain above him in the pecking order.
However, Vurnon Anita will get an extended run in the side from here on in until the end of the season, with Laurens De Bock currently spending time out on the sidelines as he recovers from an injury.
Nevertheless, Heckingbottom should look to give Anita a second successive start by playing him against Villa tonight, as he could be playing for his future with plenty of players waiting to take his place.
