Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Surely these 2 Everton players risk being sold this summer

Our Everton fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping never to get so close to the relegation zone again in the future as they want to look up, not down in the Premier League.

After a strong statement in the summer transfer window, many of the fans in the bar believed that the Toffees could be challenging for a European place, if not top-four. However, it didn’t turn out as fans imagined and a downward spiral saw them too close to the bottom three for many of the Toffees’ liking.

Three managers later and trusty Sam Allardyce came in to steady the ship and steer them towards the safety of mid-table. This season has been a huge learning curve for everyone involved and has set apart the fighters from the rest of the squad. Whichever way you look at it,

With that in mind, our landlord has taken a look at TWO players he feels should be going in the summer…

Ashley Williams

Former Swansea centre-back moved to Goodison as a quality defender, although this season has done him no favours. He’s largely mistake-prone and looked like a defender that is lacking in confidence, as well as any trace of pace.

If Big Sam is to continue into next season, a centre-back of quality and leadership may be one of the first things Allardyce prioritises. Especially after the mistakes of this season, the defence has to be watertight for next season if the Toffees are to reach their potential.

Morgan Schneiderlin

When Schneiderlin came to Everton from United, it was seen as a great signing for their fans. However, this season has seen him become a favourite for the boo boys in the crowd, whilst his lack of passion for the club has shone through.

He’s looked lacklustre and dis-interested in proceedings according to our blues fans in the back, and this will surely not be the thing Allardyce wants going into next season.
