Manchester United fans here in the Tavern are eager to secure a trophy this season, with anything less being seen as a disaster.
Indeed, the Red Devils are yet to rediscover the title-winning form that rewarded the club so heavily during Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign, as United have struggled to find the correct managerial formula since the Scot’s retirement.
Although, it’s been transfer movement that’s brought about success since January, as the recent signing of Alexis Sanchez continues to reap its reward. So, with our local residents here in the Tavern dreaming of rediscovering the trophy-winning form of yesteryear, additions in the summer are going to be a must for United.
Therefore, Mourinho has turned his attention to bolstering an unsteady Manchester United midfield, with Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos topping the list of targets for this summer. A world star that’s struggled to reach the heights he once displayed during his days at Bayern Munich, though he would still be an addition that would be sure to iron over any weaknesses in United’s midfield.
However, bringing the German to Old Trafford could have considerable effects on possible futures for some of their current players, which surely means that these TWO Man United stars will leave if he joins this summer…
Scott McTominay

The United youngster has been one of the rising stars in the youth academy ranks in years gone by, as he’s now beginning to earn a regular place in the first-team squad under Mourinho.
Indeed, there’s no doubt that Scott McTominay is one for the future at Manchester United, after displaying some quite remarkable pieces of brilliance in the opportunities provided to him thus far.
However, with the addition of Toni Kroos to the United midfield, the youngster would more than likely lose out on a place in the squad for next season. Meaning that a loan deal would be a suitable option for Mourinho to take up in the summer, to allow the Englishman to progress under regular minutes at another club.
Ander Herrera

The Spanish midfielder was brought to Old Trafford as one of Spain’s brightest prospects back in 2014, but is yet to display the form that caused for many of our local residents to purr about the signing.
Although, Ander Herrera was an iconic figure in this Manchester United side last season, but has been pushed towards the fringes after the summer signing of Nemanja Matic.
Indeed, with an injury currently halting any progress being made by the Spaniard, his future in Manchester could be under scrutiny with the addition of Kroos, as Mourinho is already seeking the addition of the German to pair up with Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba in the midfield.
