Surely these 2 players won’t be in Guardiola’s first match day squad next season

It’s not been the spending spree that Manchester City fans had expected so far…

The City faithful had anticipated a summer revamp from Pep Guardiola’s side who finished 15 points off of Premier League champions Chelsea last season.

Still, with several weeks until the new season, time is not quite of the essence and the Manchester City squad is likely to look whole a lot different by the opening day.

City have so far recruited shot-stopper Ederson from Benfica as well as Monaco’s Bernardo Silva. But they can’t just focus on incomings this summer.

So who might be shown the exit at The Etihad? Cult hero Pablo Zabaleta has already departed for West Ham, while League Cup hero Willy Caballero is now the number two at Chelsea.

We’ve been mulling over who else surely won’t make Guardiola’s first match day squad next season…

Joe Hart

Hart was made an outcast last season and was forced to leave on a season’s long loan at Torino and the Englishman has been well and truly shown the door by Guardiola

He’s just signed Ederson Moraes from Benfica and has Claudio Bravo, too.

Now England’s number one is looking for a new club, and surely he won’t still be at Man City in a few weeks.

Samir Nasri

The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Sevilla, but failed to make a substantial impact for the Spanish side. Nasri scored just two goals and made three assists in his 23 La Liga outings.

The Frenchman is expected to move on this summer, with the addition of Bernardo Silva moving him even further down the City pecking order.

There is just no space for him.
