Ronald Koeman has gone about his business efficiently and effectively by making some outstanding additions to his side.

Pre-season training has just got underway and the Toffees have already recruited five first-team players including Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane – both of which are tipped to be the future of the England national team.

Koeman’s side have also said goodbye to Romelu Lukaku.

However there is no need to panic, the Toffees have already bagged Wayne Rooney, with more players likely to follow.

It all means that some players will have to miss out next season.

And these TWO players surely won’t be in Ronald Koeman’s first match day squad next season…

Unfortunately will all the incomings, there will likely be no place for the veteran on the pitch come August 12th at home to Stoke.

Youngster Tom Davies youthful exuberance has almost guaranteed him a role in the Everton team, while Idrissa Gueye, Morgan Schneiderlin and James McCarthy are all centre-midfielders in good form for the club.

Barry, 36, will have to work his way back into contention.

Maarten Stekelenburg

In truth, it could be either Stekelenburg or Joel Robles who face the axe this summer. The ‘keeper lost his place to Robles last season after a number of poor performances.

With the addition of Jordan Pickford, the former Sunderland shot-stopper is expected to be The Toffees new number one.

Neither Stekelenburg or Robles have been linked with moves away, but neither will likely be content with being number three in the pecking order.
