Liverpool supporters in the Transfer Tavern are relishing their side’s trip to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday, what with the Reds heading into the encounter off the back of battering Watford 5-0 in their last league outing.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were the only team in the top eight in league action last time out due to FA Cup commitments, and the Merseysiders certainly made the most of it to move seven points clear of fifth place Chelsea in the race for a top four spot. Mohamed Salah was again the man of the moment for the Reds with four goals in the win, while Roberto Firmino added the other to seal a routine victory for Klopp’s side, and one that moved them above Tottenham into third place in the Premier League table.
Subsequently, there have been many thrilled Liverpudlians in the Tavern in recent times, several of whom are hoping their side can continue their fine run with victory at Selhurst Park tomorrow, a victory which would move them up to second in the division for a few hours at least.
In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident Reds fans to get their teeth into, not least recent reports suggesting that Watford may have to sell reported Liverpool target Abdoulaye Doucoure this summer.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed a fine campaign at Vicarage Road this term in netting seven goals and laying on three assists for the Hornets, thus helping Javi Gracia’s men to 11th place in the division with just seven matches to go.
And his fine efforts have reportedly attracted the interest of Klopp’s Liverpool, amongst others, and were Doucoure to indeed make the move to Anfield this summer, here are TWO stars that would surely have no future at the club…
Georginio Wijnaldum

Netherlands international Georginio Wijnaldum played a key part in helping Liverpool return to the top four last season, but he hasn’t quite played as much football this time round.
The 27-year-old has managed 20 Premier League starts for the Reds so far but only two of their last seven matches, and with Adam Lallana building up his fitness, alongside the summer arrival of Naby Keita, things don’t look good for Wijnaldum’s long-term prospects at Anfield.
And were Doucoure to arrive as well, it could well spell the end of the midfielder’s time in the North West.
Adam Lallana

Adam Lallana has missed the vast majority of this campaign with an injury he sustained back in pre-season, and as such question marks have been growing among Liverpool fans as to whether they should get rid of the midfielder this summer.
The England international was excellent for the Reds last term in their run to fourth place in the Premier League, but the Merseyside giants have arguably improved again this time round, and Lallana has played little part in that.
And were Doucoure to join Keita in moving to Anfield, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the 29-year-old.
