The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern, whilst still getting over last night’s crushing defeat to Liverpool, have woken up to the news that their club has a multi-year and multimillion-pound deal with the dating app Tinder. The club will be hoping they can super-like their next match with Liverpool as they hope to swipe right into the last four of the Champions League.

The news has come at an awkward time for the club as the City fans propping our bar up are still feeling tender after getting clubbed 3-0 by Liverpool yesterday in the Champions League. The big-money deal with the dating app is obviously very lucrative for the club, but as they look likely to bow out of the Champions League at the hands of Jurgen Klopp’s side, it’s not the desired news the Citizens were looking for this morning.
Whilst the Champions League heartache is weighing heavily on the Sky Blues, they’re loving their league’s form and only need one more win to ensure the Premier League trophy returns to The Etihad. The club have been all-conquering this season and have beaten every side they’ve faced in all competitions, bar Wigan Athletic. If Guardiola’s men can keep their cool and dispatch Manchester United on Saturday, they’ll be the earliest champions in Premier League history and will be able to take momentum into their leg with Liverpool on Tuesday.
