That Can’t Be Right – Capello To City?

Share

Rumours today are emerging that the current England coach, one Fabio Capello, is set to join Man City when they replace Roberto Mancini.

Capello, still under contract with the FA until 2012, has been tipped to takeover at Eastlands or at the San Siro, after Rafael Benitez sure demise.  But why?

Do Man City love hiring Italian managers who have a pretty average track record in English football?  Wasn’t Fabio set to retire after the England job?  I thought he already had to be honest…

And what of Man City?  With dressing room upheaval, the Carlos Tevez saga (sill boring, possibly more boring than the other day), crunch talks with Mancini and general discontent among many of the players, is Capello the right choice to bring some discipline to their unruly mob?

Capello doesn’t need the money (thanks to the FA), so what else do Man City have to offer?
