The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are on red alert over some of their key players potentially leaving the club in the summer transfer window and are certainly fearing the worst at the moment.

Of course, after a decent season for a side outside the top six, it is inevitable that the interest in certain key players heighten and Ronald Koeman will be looking to ensure most of his squad is still at the club by the start of next season though this is looking easier said than done.

However, our landlord doesn’t believe that this should be the business that Koeman should be looking to do as it is obvious that there is a lot of deadwood within the Toffees’ squad that needs to be let go which will not only clear the wage bill at Goodison but it will also rejuvenate these individual’s career.

Whilst a few names have been thrown around, our landlord has been able to narrow down to the players his resident Toffees feel really feel need to escape their club as soon as possible.

Let’s take a look at what he has come up with…

Oumar Niasse

The Senegalese striker was signed for £13.5million by Roberto Martinez in January 2016 but it is clear that current boss, Ronald Koeman does not rate the 27-year-old striker and our landlord believes Everton need to cut their losses and sell Niasse.

Whilst he spent all of last season on loan at Hull City whilst they got relegated, the Toffees in the Tavern did not see enough quality from Niasse to fight his corner and they agree that Koeman simply has to let him leave the club.

Muhamed Besic

Unfortunately, Besic has seen his Everton career blighted by injuries and our landlord feels it is time for the Bosnian to get a fresh start in his career and leave Goodison Park.

The Toffees in the Tavern surprisingly agree with our landlord and whilst the 24-year-old still has time on his side within his career, they feel there is simply no chance of Besic breaking into a central midfield that really possess some quality players.
