As we enter the pre-season schedule, for many supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern Manchester City, as a whole, have completed the majority of their recruitment.

Some may say that the team still needs trimming and it will be a tough task for Pep Guardiola to identify whose future lies away from the Etihad, especially as our landlord suggests that to be the case.

Fabian Delph

Fabian Delph is definitely one of the weirdest transfers in recent Premier League history after his failure to make an impression at the Etihad following his successful performances for previous employer Aston Villa.

The 27-year-old is highly-rated by the City-mad punters but his thirteen appearances across all competitions last year would say Pep Guardiola thinks otherwise.

Delph has to consider his options on the coming days and weeks; he will comfortably pick up a higher wage sitting on the bench at City, or play regular football and have an influence on the top-flight.

Joe Hart

Having acquired Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson to their ranks this month, it is most definitely confirmed that Joe Hart will play no part in Manchester City’s campaign in the upcoming season.

It was inevitable that the England international would depart under manager Pep Guardiola, however, supporters by-the-bar are suggesting he should at least be given the chance during their vital pre-season schedule.

Hart is seeing his career rot away continuing at the Etihad Stadium, possibly being as far down as third choice, but with the honours he can boast about on his CV we are sure the 29-year-old won’t be short of potential suitors.
