With EURO 2016 well under way it’s easy to forget the small matter of the new Premier League season being under two months away.
Our local Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been watching the tournament with keen interest.
Not only to support England but to also see how Antonio Conte sets up his Italy team as they look for insight into their new manager’s ways.
Conte will take over at Stamford Bridge after the tournament and will be keen to get to work with his new players at the club, to see who fits his system and who won’t.
The players themselves have points to prove after a dismal season last year and will be looking for a fresh start under the Italian.
The obvious stars of the show such as Eden Hazard and Diego Costa will be key to Chelsea’s fortunes but what about those players that don’t get the credit they deserve.
Our landlord has been looking at Chelsea’s squad and thinks this THREE deserve more praise than they get…..

Cesar Azpilicueta
The Spanish full-back does a great job on either flank and deserves to be recognised as one of the best about in the game.
He’s very rarely caught out of position, offers an attacking threat and can use either foot and this means he’s a very difficult player to get the better of.
When you look at how Branislav Ivanovic has struggled in the last year it goes to show how well the Spaniard has done to remain at a high level.
Kurt Zouma
Zouma arguably should be the first choice centre back at the club next season because his potential is huge.
Zouma is big and strong and as quick as most Premier League forwards, which makes him a real asset for the Blues.
Chelsea need to play him as much as possible because he could be a world-class defender and he’s currently not the number one pick that his talent needs him to be.
Bertrand Traore
Another young player at the Blues disposal Traore has impressed when he’s deputised for Diego Costa.
Not as good as the former Atletico Madrid man just yet, Traore has a fair bit to learn but he looks like he could be a real force up front and so deserves more playing time under Conte next season.
Chelsea need to rejuvenate the side somewhat next season and playing Traore more would help do this.
