‘The next John Terry’ - Chelsea fans are very excited about 16-year-old youth player

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for a few young players to make it at Stamford Bridge…

It’s been a very long time since a homegrown talent made it through into the Chelsea first team, though under Antonio Conte that tide appears to be changing.

Charly Musonda and Andreas Christensen are both in the Italian’s plans this season, and that seems to suggest that he is keen to see a few more players make it into the first team.

There are a host of top players in the Chelsea academy that are in with a chance, and one player that is attracting a lot of interest in the Transfer Tavern is young Ethan Ampadu.

Already included in the Welsh first team squad, Ampadu has a very bright future indeed, and he showed his class for Chelsea’s under-19 squad as they began their European campaign for the season.

Unsurprisingly, the Chelsea fans on Twitter were very excited at the mere prospect of him featuring, and their excitement only increased as the game went on.
