The 29-year-old is certainly a polarising character, and while he’s often vilified for his inconsistency, the experienced Belgian is more than able to produce game-defining saves. He has the potential to become an exceedingly good goalkeeper if he adds a degree of consistency to his game.

Liverpool’s 26-year-old full-back has been a figure of consistent reliability since joining the club from Crystal Palace in 2014. He provides great attacking quality on the right side of the field, always causing problems for his opponents.

Widely lauded as one of the best arrivals of last summer, the Cameroonian excelled in his first season in England. His defensive qualities are solid, and he’s significantly improved the quality of Liverpool’s defence.

Southampton’s centre-half has established himself as one of the very best defenders in the Premier League. He’s tall, physical and yet comfortable in possession. His arrival would notably improve Liverpool’s defence.
James Milner
The Englishman has been a key player for the Reds since his arrival from Manchester City. His ability to operate in multiple positions has been well utilised by Liverpool, and he’s also lethal from the penalty spot.
Jordan Henderson
Liverpool’s captain leads by example and has been a prominent figure since his arrival from Sunderland. His composure and passing ability are key components of his game. A solid midfielder.
Naby Keïta
Keïta is one of the most exciting players in European Football, and his arrival would be of huge benefit to Liverpool. He is the complete midfielder, equally brilliant in his defensive and attacking work. What a signing he could prove to be from Leipzig.
Mohammed Salah
Liverpool’s club-record signing is regarded for his blistering pace and impressive finishing ability. The Egyptian scored 19 goals and made 12 assists for Roma last season; his presence will strengthen the Reds’ attack enormously.
Philippe Coutinho
Undoubtedly Liverpool’s supreme talent and one of the greatest players in the Premier League, he so often proves to be Klopp’s source of creativity – able to create something out of nothing. A Liverpool legend in the making.
Sadio Mané
Arguably Liverpool’s best player last season, the Senegal International was hugely important in the process of securing Champions League football. Liverpool supporters will be eagerly expecting the 25-year-old to maintain his excellent form this upcoming season.
Roberto Firmino
Often underrated by many, Firmino has proven to be a key player for Klopp who is managed to keep Daniel Sturridge sidelined. His ability to close players down and apply pressure on his opponents is very impressive.
