Manchester United fans here in the Tavern are ecstatic with the news that Eric Bailly will be fit to start against Liverpool in tomorrow’s clash at Old Trafford. Mourinho also confirmed (during his press conference posted on the club’s Twitter account) that Marouane Fellaini could also return to the squad to face Liverpool, although he’s less likely to start.
United fans will be over the moon that their Ivorian defender is back in first team action, as Chris Smalling and Phil Jones have been underwhelming at the heart of the Manchester United defence. Bailly’s return from injury has come at a key time for Mourinho as he faces the difficult task of trying to contain Liverpool’s deadly front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Liverpool’s front three have scored an incredible 45 goals between this season, meaning Eric Bailly will have to be back to his best sharpish after his long injury break if he’s to help United extend the gap over their rivals. Mourinho’s United currently sit two points ahead of Klopp’s Liverpool, meaning a win for either side will ensure them second spot.
