Reports today are breaking around the bar that both Real Madrid and Man United are looking at playing a little game of swapsies with their players. With both clubs looking to revitalise their squads ahead of next season, Los Blancos have reportedly enquired about three of United’s players – Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba and long-term interest David De Gea, with United keen on Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in return.

In what could be a huge transfer deal, we could see arguably two of the biggest clubs in the world in one of the biggest deals to date within football, and our regulars are excited at the thought of it. However, the main focal point for Madrid is French star Martial, a player that surely the United fans wouldn’t want to lose so early on in his career, after a sparkling start to his Old Trafford life.

Indeed, it will take at least a couple of attackers to replace the French international, and our barman feels like these TWO players would do the trick…

Nabil Fekir

The French star is causing quite a stir in Ligue 1 with Lyon, his goals and assists have played a crucial part in Lyon’s rise up the table. He’s proved to be a pivotal part of the midfield set up and is still young enough to play a huge role for the Red Devils for many years to come.

Fekir, should he continue his current form, will be a crowd favourite instantly and is the type of player that the Old Trafford faithful love to watch on a weekly basis.

Riyad Mahrez

The Leicester City right winger would be the perfect player to bring a balance to Mourinho’s team that seems to be missing, with United having long missed a player that can excite the crowd on the right-hand side of the pitch.

Mahrez has all the Premier League experience needed to succeed at the Red Devils, alongside the one-upmanship of winning the league a few seasons ago. That type of winning mentality will suit Mourinho and his style of play down to the ground.
