These 2 Chelsea youngsters deserve to start vs Nottingham Forest – agreed?

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are eager to see a few rotational players given a chance in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday Evening…

Given how much Chelsea have going on this season, the competition is likely to take a backseat for Antonio Conte, but that could increase its importance for some of Chelsea’s young players.

The tournament may offer a few of them a rare opportunity at first-team football, which has become a rare commodity under Conte.

If they impress, that could give him little choice but to include them more often going forward, and that could be the difference between a season on the sidelines or a season amongst the action.

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been having their say on who they want to see start, and two names have come up more often than any other.

With that said, these 2 Chelsea youngsters deserve to start vs Nottingham Forest – agreed?

Charly Musonda

An exciting attacking option, Charly Musonda could be a decent choice to play Forest.

He’s young and relatively inexperienced, but he impressed in La Liga with Real Betis, and so he’s more than capable of turning out against the Championship outfit.

Expect excellent technique and dribbling, and he’ll also be keen to make an impact in front of goal if he’s given a chance.

With Pedro and Willian playing a lot so far this term, they could do with a rest. Musonda should step in.

 Kenedy

Kenedy has a lot of experience in the Chelsea first team, so it makes a lot of sense to give him a chance.

He’s suffered enough for his social media blunder during pre-season, and it’s time for him to be given a second shot at making it in the Chelsea first team.

The Brazilian has looked good at wing-back during his time in London, so Marcos Alonso may be able to get a rest as a result. He desperately needs it, after all.
