The Crystal Palace fans in the Transfer Tavern are very excited about the January transfer window. The Eagles have enjoyed a day of celebration today, owing to their side’s win against Watford on Tuesday night. After a very hard start to the season, manager Roy Hodgson appears to finally be having an impact on the side that he inherited from Frank de Boer.
In an ideal world, he’ll now look to help encourage his side to kick on and progress, but for that to be the case, he’ll need every single member of his squad to start performing week-in-week-out.
Unfortunately, though, up until now, that simply hasn’t been the case. A handful of players haven’t been good enough this term, and that is what has led to Crystal Palace’s poor form this season. A couple of players, though, have been a cut below the rest at Selhurst Park, and it’s time for Hodgson to recognise that.
With that said, these 2 Crystal Palace players have let Hodgson down this season – agreed?
Christian Benteke

Christian Benteke has built up a fearsome reputation in the Premier League. He’s undoubtedly one of England’s deadliest forwards when on form, but unfortunately for the Eagles, his good form has been nowhere to be seen this season.
He’s been one of the main reasons behind their lack of success. A top player is able to break a team out of a rut, and he did very little to help his team earlier this season when nothing was going their way.
Whilst other forwards are scoring goals left, right and centre, Benteke’s reputation is quickly fading away.
Wayne Hennessey

Crystal Palace have had a lot of problems at the back this season, and Wayne Hennessey has been at fault for many of them.
He’s struggled to find any sort of form in the Premier League this term, and that could lead the Eagles into signing a new goalkeeper as soon as possible if they can.
With an average WhoScored rating of just 6.57 this season, things couldn’t be going much worse for Hennessey.
He’s lacking everything between the sticks.
