These 2 Man City starlets definitely have the potential to be a future captain at the club

Our landlord has certainly noticed his resident Manchester City fans seeming a lot perkier whilst drinking in the Transfer Tavern in recent weeks.

Though it is not clear whether the City punters are just in taking more alcohol or just happy with their side’s performances, one thing is for sure that Pep Guardiola has got his side to click in recent weeks.

It’s probably too late, though, to catch the runaway leaders, Chelsea, at the top of the Premier League table.

Indeed, our landlord certainly believes that is the case and he feels that the Citizens simply must be looking ahead to next season where they should be looking to be a strong force in all competitions due to the calibre of manager, coaches and players they have at the club.

One thing that certainly needs to be sorted before next season is the fitness of Vincent Kompany.

Many of our City fans in the Tavern are at their wits end with their captain and though they don’t want to see Kompany leave, they would like a more regular captain of their team which means Guardiola may have a decision to make.

Regardless of what happens next season, though, a new long-term captain will occur eventually and our landlord reckons it could be one of these young City starlets…

Tosin Adarabioyo

The 19 year old strong defender has captained Manchester City sides through out his development and Guardiola may well make the natural transition to pinpoint Adarabioyo as a future leader for the Citizens.

An English prospect that will surely break into the City team sooner rather than later, especially considering the age and evident decline in the Citizen’s back line, Adarabioyo has all the qualities you’d want from a skipper.

Aleix García Serrano

A player that likes to get stuck in the middle of the park, Aleix Garcia could well find himself wearing the Manchester City armband in years to come due to the pure tenacity of his ability.

Guardiola has already given Garcia a go in the Citizen’s midfield this season and was rewarded as the Spanish midfielder managed to grab a goal in the EFL cup against Swansea. Since then, he has been training with the first team and with Yaya Toure out of contract in the summer, Garcia could make that next step towards being skipper soon,
