The prospect of a big name signing moving to Old Trafford is normally met with euphoria among everyone associated with the club, but that might not be the case this summer if Man Ud get their wish.
Clearly, Bale is a very talented player, but it’s fair to say that if he were to join, it wouldn’t be good news for everyone.
To the contrary, there are a few players at Man Utd that could be very negatively impacted by his arrival, if it happens, so much so that they could be forced to leave the club.
Man Utd, then, must consider the implications of a deal beyond simple signing a player of his quality.

Andreas Pereira clearly has talent, but he’s unlikely to get a first-team role in this squad as it is, let alone with another player in the fray.
He enjoyed a decent campaign on loan at Valencia last season, but he hardly set the world alight.
At 22-years-old, he just needs to be doing more damage than he is right now, and unfortunately, the writing is on the wall.
Long-term, it’s hard to see him having a role at Old Trafford, but the arrival of Bale could bring his spell in Manchester to a premature end.
Anthony Martial seems to already have one foot out of the door, but the arrival of Gareth Bale would almost certainly give him a firm shove further out of Manchester.
The Frenchman found game time hard to come by last season, and that’s a problem that would only worsen if Bale were to arrive.
In truth, Jose Mourinho has never really seemed to fancy him, and it would actually be more of a surprise for him to still be at the club in a few months regardless of whether Bale arrives.
The Welshman would really put the final nail in his metaphorical Man Utd coffin, though.
