Well, well, well. Jose Mourinho is struggling at Manchester United despite the most unprecedented summer signing in the club’s illustrious history. 

The self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ is looking as shaky as he did while in charge of Chelsea last season, and the fans in the Transfer Tavern need little reminding about how that turned out.

Just what the exact problem is remains to be seen, though it appears to be far deeper rooted than simply the inclusion/exclusion of a certain Wayne Rooney in the starting XI.

Still, the Portuguese has one of the best squads in Europe from which to choose if he is to turn things around at Old Trafford.

Though not all of his players are performing just yet, it’s hard not to believe there are stars within the ranks capable of restoring former glories.

Recent games have only further illustrated just how vital the Spanish stopper is to the Red Devils.

Without his excellence between the posts, it’s scary to think just where United would be right now.

Though confidence will be low right now, having David De Gea in goal will only boost the club throughout the season.

Paul Pogba

Things haven’t gone too well for Paul Pogba since he joined, aside from a decent performance against Leicester.

Though that’s not been repeated often enough, the Frenchman was hugely influential in that fixture and showed just how he could make United tick when afforded more freedom in midfield.
