After securing their spot in the last sixteen of the Champions League on Wednesday evening, Citizens fans here in the Transfer Tavern have plenty to be cheering about.
Their Premier League campaign is coming along nicely and Pep Guardiola’s style of football is quickly beginning to rub off on supporters.
Despite suggesting it might take ten years for the Citizens to become a real force in the Champions League, they have every opportunity to make it all the way this season.
But this weekend, matters will be turning back to the Premier League and a huge game against Burnley, who haven’t been going too badly at all themselves this season.
But after some good results in recent weeks, there are a couple of players we think should be starting the game against the Clarets.
So with that in mind, here’s 2 players that must start for City against Burnley- agreed?
Yaya Toure

An inspired performance in a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace a week ago proved that Yaya Toure still might have a big part to play in this current Manchester City side.
He’s been ousted for weeks after a fall-out between he, his agent and Pep Guardiola but finally, the water seems to be under the bridge and be might now come back into the first-team.
He has so much to offer this City team wherever he plays and it will be good to see him back on the pitch in the game against Burnley too.
Ilkay Gundogan

A summer signing from Borussia Dortmund, Ilkay Gundogan’s start as a Citizen seems to be getting even better as the weeks go on.
Despite not picking up the win in Germany in the week, the German midfielder was fantastic as his team battled to a draw that eventually saw them qualify for the next round.
His passing is superb, as is his ability to get forward and support his team-mates. If there is one man that should definitely be on the teamsheet against Burnley, it’s Gundogan.
