There’s a debate brewing in the Transfer Tavern over the direction Arsenal have been heading between our local Gunners punters.
Some think Arsenal are staying still and the teams around them are moving forward, and on the other side is the view the other teams are far more inconsistent whilst the Gunners remain a perennial top 4 side.
Whichever side you’re on our resident Arsenal fans think the Gunners need to make a few more changes than they have done in recent times.
The men from the Emirates finished second behind a Leicester side that took the league by storm and surprise in equal measure.
What will shock even more is if they can do it again with the inevitable strengthening of the ‘big’ teams already in motion.
Manchester City have Pep Guardiola coming in and Manchester United look set to appoint Jose Mourinho.
Liverpool will have their first summer window with Jurgen Klopp in charge and Chelsea will be rejuvenated under Antonio Conte.
Add to that mixture that Spurs are going to only get stronger with their young team as well as the likes of West Ham, Southampton and others benefiting from the new TV deal, Arsenal need to be proactive in the market too.
As players come in though, some must go out to balance the books and our landlord here at the Transfer Tavern thinks this THREE have had their time, what do you reckon?

Theo Walcott
It’s time for Walcott to go.
A decade at the club has been more than enough time for the Englishman to prove himself as a top class player and although there have been flashes of what he can do in this period, there have also been just as many if not more question marks over his ability.
This season seems to have put the final nail in the coffin for Walcott and he’ll be looking to play elsewhere come the summer.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Oxlade-Chamberlain seems to have followed the same path as Walcott. Plenty of potential at Southampton before moving to north London, shows glimpses of ability and then seems to fade away.
‘The Ox’ has struggled with injuries throughout his time which have obviously not helped but you look at the Arsenal squad now and wonder who he is going to get in front of in the side.
A good Premier League player no doubt but he needs a move to somewhere he can once again showcase that ability.
Tomas Rosicky
It’s a wonder Rosicky is still at the club given his injury nightmares in recent times.
When fit he was a prominent player for Arsenal but that was a long time ago and even when he does eventually get fit he won’t force the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil out of the team.
Somehow he’s travelling to EURO 2016 with the Czech Republic squad though, and if he can put in some decent performances he might be able to secure a reasonable move away from the Emirates.
