These 3 Chelsea under-21 players are seriously under-pressure to make the grade

The Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are desperate to see a few Chelsea starlets make it into the first team…

It is not just Antonio Conte that is under pressure to bring through Chelsea’s young players.

The youngsters themselves need to ensure that they are up to par, and when they are given an opportunity to impress – they must take it.

Look at a player like Marcus Rashford at Manchester United.

He came into the first team and immediately made an impact – and Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal had no choice but to throw him in at the deep end.

Chelsea have a host of young players that, as of yet, haven’t hit their stride yet – and they need to make an immediate impact.

With that said, these THREE Chelsea under-21 players are seriously under pressure to make the grade – do you agree?

Dominic Solanke

Dominic Solanke

Dominic Solanke is a player that needs to make an immediate impact at Chelsea – or he could risk losing his place at the club altogether.

His contract expires at the end of the season, and as of yet – he is yet to sign a new deal.

He is clearly rated highly by the Blues brass, given that he has made a couple of appearances for the first team, but he needs to do the business of he wants to ensure a long-term stay of execution at Stamford Bridge.

With Chelsea having just Batshuayi and Costa ahead of him this year, Solanke could get a chance down the road – and he must take it.

 Ola Aina

Ola Aina

Ola Aina has been touted by a few of the Chelsea fans by the bar as the heir-apparent to Branislav Ivanovic – and if you’re given a comparison like that then you better ensure that you are up to par.

He has impressed during his opening few appearances for the first team, but that just gives him more pressure.

The Blues fans are expecting big things from him – and he must deliver sooner rather than later.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is often touted as the crown jewel of the Chelsea first team – but as of yet, he has shown nothing to warrant that title.

The young Englishman has been in and around the Chelsea first team for a while now, but he is still yet to make a serious impact. Whereas players like Rashford are scoring every week – Loftus-Cheek continues to flounder and is limited to just occasional appearances.

At just 20 years old, he has time on his side – but he must not let up.
