It’s been a summer of change at Chelsea and the regulars at the Transfer Tavern seem to be happy with how things are progressing at Stamford Bridge.
Antonio Conte has had little time to stamp his authority and personality on a beleaguering Chelsea squad, but with him he’s brought energy and excitement as the Blues look to restore themselves to their former glory.
He’s managed to bring in a number of high-profile signings including N’Golo Kante and Michy Batshuayi and on the whole, things are looking good in west London
But one thing that hasn’t really been addressed during Conte’s short tenure has been the U21 and reserves squad. Who might make the grade this season and is anyone worthy of promotion?

Charlie Colkett
An 18-year-old central-midfielder, Charlie Colkett is a man whom so much is expected from in the near future.
He featured prominently for the Chelsea Under 19’s side last season and there are some fans here in the Tavern calling for a promotion straight into the first-team.
He has excellent vision and a calm persona which really helps bring proceedings to a comfortable level if the going gets tough.
Keep an eye on this lad.
Charly Musonda
Chelsea starlet Charly Musonda will spend the 2016-2017 season on loan at Gus Poyet’s Real Betis having made 16 appearances there last season.
He impressed in Spain and they were quick to re-sign him again this season. But he’s one who is definitely destined for the Chelsea first-team in the very near future.
Alongside his older brothers Tika and Lamisha, he has made quite the impression. He’s an attacking midfielder with pace, power and a serious eye for goal.
Kasey Palmer
This 19-year-old attacking midfielder may have felt a little aggrieved to have not got any first-team minutes last season.
After such poor showings from some of the Blues’ first-team attackers, many fans had called for Palmer to be given a chance after impressive performances in the reserve side.
He’s a man that doesn’t need a fruitless loan move in the lower echelons of the Football League.
Antonio, get this man in your first-team ASAP. He won’t let you down.
