Everyone here the Football Transfer Tavern has been admiring Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City squad and how well they have started the season…
Raheem Sterling is rejuvenated and performing well, Sergio Aguero is scoring goals as he always has done and new boys such as John Stones and Nolito have had a good start to life in Manchester.
However, the struggles of players such as Joe Hart, Wilfried Bony and Samir Nasri have shown that not everyone can make it in the Manchester City squad.
There has been a big exodus at City in recent months – but our landlord thinks that there are still some players left behind that are struggling…
With that said, our landlord thinks that these THREE Man City players are out of their depth – Agreed?
Willy Caballero
He may have pushed Joe Hart out of his starting spot, but our landlord thinks that Caballero is nowhere near ready to be the starting goalkeeper for Manchester City.
The City faithful here in the Football Transfer Tavern think that Guardiola left out Hart and subsequently moved him onto Torino because he felt he wasn’t good enough with his feet – but in his games thus far; Caballero has done little to prove he is any better.
With Claudio Bravo’s arrival, Cabellero’s run of first team football is at an end – and our bar staff think a City departure must follow.
Yaya Toure
He has been left out of Manchester City’s Champions League squad and Yaya Toure does not seem to be a part of Pep Guardiola’s plans at Man City.
It was Guardiola who pushed him out of Barcelona, and the Manchester City faithful here in the Football Transfer Tavern think that he could be doing the same to the Ivorian in Manchester.
There is no doubt that Yaya Toure is still a good player, but it seems like he is going to have to move on in the January transfer window if he is going to get much game time.
Under Guardiola – he is out of his depth.
Jesus Navas
Jesus Navas has never really set the world alight since his move to Manchester City, and it doesn’t really look like he will be able to find much of a role under Guardiola.
With Raheem Sterling and Nolito performing well so far, and Leroy Sane recently coming in – Navas could be pushed out of the picture completely.
He has a battle on his hands if he is to stand the slimmest of chances of being in the first team plans.
Our landlord think this could be the season where he really starts to look out of his depth in Manchester.
