Punters at the Football Transfer Tavern have been waiting for Paul Pogba to burst through the doors at Manchester United announcing his move there, however it seems like United having been looking at other signings as well as him.

20-year-old Curacao international winger Liandro Martris, is on trial at Manchester United, as the Red Devils appear to be first in line to get him ahead of Champions Leicester City.

With Mourinho looking to make his mark on Manchester United and get them back to their former glory, he will need to make the right acquisitions to add to the signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly.

The ongoing story of the transfer window is Paul Pogba and his long awaited return to Manchester United.

It is more a question of when this deal will be concluded rather than if it will be done.

The Frenchman is going to become the most expensive player in the world and with the addition of Pogba following the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Old Trafford should once again be a place that people fear going to.

Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of the French centre back and has often been linked with him since he stopped managing at Real Madrid.

Varane has been struggling to get into Real Madrid’s team, with Sergio Ramos and Pepe seemingly ahead of him in the pecking order and so if United do make a concrete bid for him, there is every possibility that he could make the move.

Jose Mourinho has reportedly been interested in bringing the Turkey international midfielder in from Besiktas.

If he did come in then he would offer very good cover in midfield and his direct style of play would suit the way that Mourinho will be looking to play next season, and his former manager Slaven Bilic has had nothing but praise for the player!
