Everton have been a club renowned for developing youth players and enabling them to reach unexpected heights. In the past number of seasons, a number of top stars such as Wayne Rooney, Ross Barkley and Leon Osman have become regulars at the club from a young age.
The Merseyside team are keen to improve on their disastrous season under Roberto Martinez last year. Superb and shrewd signings added to the influx of youth players have enabled Everton to have their best start to a campaign since 2004.
Under Ronald Koeman, youngsters are expected to thrive with a large number due to make their first-team debuts in the near future. Our landlord certainly thinks Everton have one of the best youth teams and believes these four will join the first-team very soon.

Jonjoe Kenny
Jonjoe Kenny was the club’s under 21 captain during the 2014-2015 aged just 17. The right-back became a regular at Wigan last season during his two-month loan spell at the beginning of their promotion-winning campaign.
Kenny is likened to Gary Neville for his tremendous ability to bomb forward but rarely has he been caught out when leaving space for wingers to attack.
He spent the second half of last season on-loan at Oxford United and once again impressed making 17 league appearances for the club.
He made his Everton debut in May as a second-half substitute and our landlord feels it won’t be long before we see Kenny appearing regularly in the Everton first-team.
Mason Holgate
Every now and then a special talent comes along and has the fans at the club talking about his ability. This is now the case with Mason Holgate.
Signed from Barnsley in August 2015, Holgate draws similarities to John Stones. The 19-year-old has played at right-back for Everton but looks very comfortable at centre-back.
His ability to read the game is exceptional as is his capability to play from the back. It won’t be long before Holgate is a regular first-team play – one who is destined for the English national team also.
Anthony Evans
Anthony Evans’ displays for the Everton youth teams have seen many plaudits come his way.
Elegant in possession, imposing in the tackle and blessed with two sparkling feet, Anthony Evans could soon become a first-team regular.
Add a bit of muscle to Evans and we may soon see another Ross Barkley in the Everton first-team.
Kieran Dowell
A talented, left-footed attacking midfielder with excellent vision and dribbling ability, Dowell has an innate ability to find space in between the lines and create chances for his teammates.
The 19-year-old was widely regarded as the jewel in the crown at Finch Farm by our Everton punters.
Dowell made his Premier League debut in April when he came on as a substitute against Bournemouth – replacing Ross Barkley. Dowell is widely tipped to play a lot more under Ronald Koeman and our landlord feels he may be the pick of the bunch of Everton youngsters.
