Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern have had a lot to talk about over the last few weeks as Jurgen Klopp has been a busy man in the transfer market, with four new players through the door at Anfield already.
Liverpool are heading into their first full season under the guise of former Borussia Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp, and he will now look to make the Reds side his own with a lot of movement in this summer’s transfer window.
With the likes of Man United, Chelsea and Man City all spending big this summer, the Reds will have to match them in order to compete next season, and with no European football to speak of at Anfield next summer they should be hoping for a good run in the Premier League.
It looks like two more players could be on there way to Merseyside this year with both Georginio Wijnaldum and Ragar Klavan being strongly linked with moves today, but our Liverpool supporting regulars reckon they will need more than that.
They have come up with a list of FIVE players that could follow the pair to Liverpool this summer, take a look and let them know what you think…
Shane Long

Of course there had to be a Southampton player on this list! The Reds may have already stumped up more than £30m for Mane, but judging by recent years they owe the Saints at least another £15m to keep up with the yearly donations.
Long has been linked with a move to Anfield off the back of a record breaking season on a personal level, making it into double figures for Premier League goals for the first time in his career and making the trip to France with Ireland for the European championships.
Mahmoud Dahoud

The German youngster has been linked with a move to Anfield all summer with the move being reported as practically done one day and completely off the next, so how this one plays out is anyone’s guess.
What we do know, though, is that the 20-year-old has plenty to offer Jurgen Klopp, scoring five and setting up nine goals for Borussia Monchengladbach last season.
Jeremy Mathieu

Klopp is in the market for a centre-half, with both Joe Gomez and Mamadou Sakho sidelined for the start of the season, and the Barcelona man could be just the answer.
The French international joined the Spanish champions from Valencia in 2014 but now could be set for a switch to the Premier League, this could be a deal that works for all involved.
Ross Barkley

A bit of a curve-ball here, but what a coup this would be, to nab one of your fiercest rivals most potent attacking assets.
Barkley hasn’t quite reached the pinnacle that everyone expected of him thus far, however under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp he could really go places.
Callum Wilson

Another one that’s a bit out of the blue, but could make sense.
Wilson impressed during his brief spell in the Premier League before picking up an injury last season.
With his form causing some to start calling for Hodgson to bring him into the England squad early in the season, it is clear that the 24-year-old has plenty of talent, and with Liverpool’s tendency to spend well over the odds for players on the South Coast, the fact he has just signed a new contract may not get in the way.
Liverpool fans, what do you make of this list? Would you like to see these five in a red shirt next season? Let us know in the comments below…
